Whimmy Diddle

When I was taking a bushcraft course with Mors Kochanski, he showed us how to make a Whimmy Diddle. This craft makes us of several cutting techniques, and is a simple way to make a toy for kids. He talked about visiting an Amish collective farm and how the kids was astounded by this simple, but fun piece of engineering.

Everything was fine until he started to spin the propeller. One can make the propeller spin one direction, stop, and then spin the opposite direction if it is done correctly. Or perhaps he did that off camera?
