I understand that we here in and around Toronto are supposed to expect some nice freezing rain this evening, which will in short order be followed by half a foot of snow.
So I am going to pretend that I am in nice sunny Algonquin Park.
In the hot noon sun, I will prepare some nice food over the stove.
Monty will snooze in the warm afternoon rays.
He will then gallop about like a billy-goat over the rocks behind the site, as Spring and I play cards.
The next morning we will gather blueberries.
Then we will cook up some scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes and lots of cups of tea.
The sun will shimmer across the rippling water.
Monty will clamber about.
And then we will all rest, and relax and be happy that there is no snow or hail or rain or ice in the summer light in Algonquin Park backcountry.
Cheers,
Mungo
