I thought that I would miss the lake the most when we moved to the new house. But I don't really, yet. Having the conservation area nearby should be fine.
On the final weekend before we moved, my parents dropped by and we went for a walk in the neighbourhood. We wandered down along the marina and watched the boats and the inner harbour begin to liven up for the spring season. This is of me and my Dad:
I used to walk Monty in the marina and would walk to the end of the pier and watch the planes land on the island, the boats glide by and generally have some peace and quiet there. This is one of my favourite views from around our old home:
