Thanks Caleb - I totally understand why you said not to use glue... any bump at all would wreck the surface. Will keep that in mind re: the slurry for sure.

Love the tutorial Mungo! Glad the carpet tape worked out for you. Quick tip; let the water run to remove that slurry. It's been noticed that except in rare circumstances, the slurry will actually detract from the quality of the edge. It's like rubbing your knife in fine sand. Just learned that a year or two ago, and it's really benefitted my knives! Awesome tutorial!
